Courage
Courage
I thought a lot about courage this morning and the role it plays in my life.
I read a book that once suggested the only two states of being are in fear or love. Ultimately, I think this is true.
My personal relationship with fear and love came to me this morning as I realized that a lot of the way I view myself has to do with if I am acting in courage (love) or fear (cowardice). I seemed to like courage as a way of making positivity seem like a mission or quest, or maybe I started out by having an actual disdain for fear.
Dancing
Dance
Someone asked me recently to reflect on what dancing meant to me. It’s kinda funny to do a serious intentional meditation on something so nonserious, but I like theirs so I think it is cool
Solo dancing and partner dancing are very different.
Solo dancing is like the most base dancing, it is simply moving the body to the beat. Doing this reminds me how not serious life is and how fun it can be, and to not be too in my head. I remember the rest of my body and just let go. It is a joy and a gift to remember that you can do this. It’s literally free, and any reason not too is usually just a silly excuse that makes you sound uptight.

Purpose
Why do it?
The morning is the most intentional time of the day. There is something that is just magic about this time before things have really began to just be in motion and working on things, and what you choose to fill this time with is a very meaningful statement that will carry through the whole day. Scheduling is key to living an intentional and examined life, and scheduling the morning is the pinnacle of that.
